Come Back Home "Welcome Mass"

Welcome back to Swampoodle and see the parish of your Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and maybe even a wedding.  On May 20th, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, who teach and run the school, the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, who minister to the parish and community along with the members of the parish, would like to invite you to join them in prayer at Mass.  After Mass coffee and tea will be served, in the hall and we will be able to take a tour of the school and auditorium.  St. Martin DePorres Church is handicapped accessible and there is parking in the school lot.  St. Columba Church was founded in 1895 and constructed in 1904 for a largely Irish Catholic congregation, and it features Celtic Crosses and statues of St. Brigid, St. Columba, and St. Patrick.  In Many cases, Swampoodle and Saint Columba were a starting point of many immigrants as they found a new home, a new country and a new parish.  The Mass will also be streamed live on Facebook if you can't make it.  Please contact Eileen Barrilli if you would like to attend 215-205-3221 or embarrilli@comcast.net .
